I've been a cyclist since about 1959,
that's a LONG time, and lot of miles, and a LOT of great times!

This is me at RAGBRAI (The DeMoines Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa).  My brother and I rode that fantastic ride first in 1995, and since then we've ridden it with others as Team Crude.    In addition to our own domain, we have a temporary Yahoo Group for the team's mailings, until we get the mailing list software working on our own site.  Check us out!

This year, 12 Team Crude members have pooled their dollars and a huge investment of time to do the unbelievable!  We bought a bus!!

This is a shot of the bus after a LOT of work!  Since this shot was taken we've finished the fairing on the front and carpeted the deck on top.  We have had some FUN on this bus!!

Pictures of the bus and it's progress from school property to being the mobile Team Crude clubhouse can be found on this page, with the photos at the top of the page being our FIRST visit to the bus at the Collinsville, OK, School District's garage.  About 2 weeks later we picked it up and began the work you see as you progress down the page.  The final pix are after installing our full-length party deck on the top of the bus!

Above, you see me above riding on my all Campy equipped Specialized Allez Team bike that I got at a GREAT price from eBay .  I bought it 3 years ago and I love it!  It arrived with much higher gearing than I've been riding lately, so I knew I either had to change it or push myself.  Well, I decided because of a time crunch before that year's RAGBRAI that I might not be able to change it, so I had to start training pretty hard on the hills!  I am in so much better shape since I made that decision.  This bike has forced me to be a stronger hill climber!!
