I've been a cyclist since about 1959,
that's a LONG time,
and lot of miles, and a LOT of great times!
This is me in my Team Beer days, riding on RAGBRAI (The DeMoines Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across
Iowa).
Now that Team Beer is no longer around I ride with a great group of friends as a member of
My brother and I rode the fantastic RAGBRAI ride first in 1995, and since
then we've ridden it with others as Team
Crude.
In addition to our team domain, we have a Yahoo

A couple of years ago, 12 Team Crude members pooled their dollars and a huge investment of time to do the unbelievable! We bought a bus!!
This is a shot of the bus after a LOT of work! Since this shot was taken we've finished the fairing on the front and carpeted the deck on top. We have had some FUN on this bus!!

At the top of the page you see me above riding on my all Campy equipped Specialized Allez Team bike that I got at a GREAT price from eBay . I bought it a few years ago and I love it! It arrived with much higher gearing than I've been riding lately, so I knew I either had to change it or push myself. Well, I decided because of a time crunch before that year's RAGBRAI that I might not be able to change it, so I had to start training pretty hard on the hills! I am in so much better shape since I made that decision. This bike has forced me to be a stronger hill climber!!
